Tomorrow is National Insurance Awareness Day! This is a day that celebrates insurance. Why would we celebrate insurance? Specifically, why would our friends, plaintiff attorneys, celebrate insurance? Let us tell you. Insurance, like plaintiff attorneys, is often only thought about when needed. We need to change that and recognize the importance of insurance in our lives.

Specifically for businesses, including law firms, insurance protects from potential harsh events. There are so many different types of coverage out there that are vital for companies. Policies such as professional liability, business owners, and cyber are all products that firms may need. We celebrate National Insurance Awareness Day by checking the coverage that we currently have. Give your favorite agent a call to talk about your current coverage and any new services they may have to offer.

The holiday is also a great time to shop rates. If you aren’t getting that from your current agent or broker, make sure you are reaching out to someone new to ensure you get the best premiums available for the coverage you need.

This is also a great time to review your current situation. Did the firm hire new attorneys? Does the firm have remote workers and want to implement some cyber coverage?
